Everything was perfect

Water pressure was horribly aggressive. Somehow too much??? Never thought I’d say that. And the hot water in the sink was dangerously hot, even when not turned up all the way. The bed sheets were quite rough, but they did have the cool Japanese pillows! Black out curtains were more effective than most. Unfortunately, one morning when I was trying to forward my luggage, the front desk staff did not seem fully familiar with the process and I ended up missing my train due to her completing wrong ppw first (to airport instead of hotel) and I had to pay 5000 yen for a taxi to catch my Shinkansen

Great sized room. Above average for space. Well located near train station and other amenities. Run clean and tidy and washing machine/ dryer was an added bonus

Everything- lol - especially the staff - was unbelievably wonderful.

We stayed only one night and in the middle of the night a/c stopped working and I didn’t sleep at all. I called reception and they asked to open the window which I didn’t want to because takes away privacy. In the morning they brought me a fan but still the a/c was never repaired.

Overall pretty good, its high level, lots of staff, maybee too many. Sometimes feels like your being watched too often. Overall good, plenty of breakfast options, dont like seats been chosen for us, but its normal in Japan so no main issues. Some ammenities still require further fees and extra taxes once at the motel is not good.

Banyan tree made our trip in Kyoto. The concierge and hotel staff were so helpful with planning and implementing my engagement plans, I can’t thank them enough. The hotel itself is stunning and the rooms are in keeping with a proper Ryoken with a modern twist. I highly recommend staying
