“Excellent friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed, very good breakfast. Good location.”

“The hotel itself was fine, my major complaint would be that we were on the second floor and there was no elevator. However, at this time - mid-June 2026 - there is EXTENSIVE construction going on on the main road (Paul Bunyan Rd). The entire street is dug up, making accessing the hotel very difficult. I would not even try it after dark. In spite of this considerable inconvenience, the hotel was quite full. The staff was extremely helpful, helping us get our luggage upstairs and helping with all……

“Quiet and nice staff”

“For the price it was amazing. The staff was incredibly helpful. We need to do some laundry and the machine was down but they let us use the hotel washer and dryer. They went way above and beyond to help us. Amazing staff.”

“Great location. Parking and common immaculate. Rooms were exceptionally well maintained and housekeeping care was meticulous in details.”

“Very, very old hotel, not the greatest part of town. Think I would pay a bit more and upgrade to a bit nicer place next time. Would not be comfortable staying here alone.”

“The staff is great and the hotel is very clean. They have towels in the pool area free to use and is excellent to use tables and chairs and 4 hot tubs also have an kiddie pool. Pool is inclosed. Ice machine on both floors. Vending machines have a nice selection of treats. They had fresh cookies in the lobby.”

“The price was pretty high for small town rural Minnesota, and our forest room had a non-functional heater. They moved us to a room with a working heater, which was fine. Breakfast was minimal, but edible.”

“Ice machine was out of order, ,our room had something liquid on the floor upon arrival, hair dryer didn’t work , bottom dresser drawer was very dirty, fridge and microwave were not working on arrival. Most quality inns are decent but this one is below our previous quality inn stays”

“My room was on the ground floor. With the trees outside the window, the room was not very bright which was not a problem for me as I did not stay in the room during the day. The smell of the room or the towels was not particularly refreshing but still acceptable. ”
