「Check in was fast. The room allocated to me was easily accessible and very spacious. The plumbing system needs to be repaired. I found something floating in the wc when I first got into the room. Thought the housekeeping did not do a thorough job, but after I flushed the toilet, the floating objects kept reappearing. It was rather disgusting. The hotel has a pub and food was good, service was great too. 」

「This hotel is a pub with rooms above. It is a period building so has it's quirks but that adds to it's charm. Our room was spacious & bathroom was very clean. Other furnishings a little tired & electrics need updating as extension leads with multiple sockets pose a safety issue. Food was excellent & staff were amazing. Definitely would stay again as in a great location in town. 」

「Our check in was a little bumpy as the instructions on how to find our room were vague but we eventually got into our room. It was average. Typical hotel room with a bed, seat and desk. It was fine for our purposes. The bed itself was a bit uncomfortable, but again it was fine for our stop. 」

「So charming - a lovely older property with character. We dined in the house restaurant two nights and found the food to be delicious. The breakfast was very good as well, with the typical English breakfast and pastries. The staff were so pleasant and helped us with various needs. The property is quite large and spacious. The decor, while a little dated, was really charming and the bathroom had all new fittings. We loved being able to open our window in the lovely weather and not having to pay...
