「Parking was good. But the hotel was under some renovations and I wouldn’t have booked here had I known. The pool doesn’t look like the pictures. The hot tub is chipping away inside. Grout in the pool area has black mold in some areas. There were never towels stocked we had to ask. Breakfast area was behind a tarp. Hallway had mini fans and a musty smell and low or no AC. Our room AC also had a musty, stale smell everytime it kicked on.」

「Our bed in the Patrick House was very comfortable and the sheets were incredibly soft. The breakfasts (strata, ham and cheese pie, apple raisin quiche) included fresh fruit (strawberry, pineapple, grapes, cantaloup) and delicious lemon poppyseed loaf bread. Breakfast staff was friendly and attentive. Our room was quiet and there was a nice shower with a high showerhead, and shea toiletries. The location was perfect. 「An elegant old house tastefully redeveloped, with large, comfortable and stylish rooms. Great location close to breweries, wineries and hiking and not far from Charlottesville. So, mostly good but the administrative and customer-service side could be better. We weren't sent the code for the front door and another couple we met weren't sent the code for their room. I received the checkout instructions after having already left the property. 」
