"Charming hotel. Built in the 1500’s Formerly a monastery and other uses, it has a lively period lobby, newly remodeled baths, charming, helpful staff and delicious breakfast buffet. The rooms. while not refreshed, are comfortable and quiet. The large outdoor terrace is wonderful for drinks"

"This is a relatively small and friendly hotel, close to the station and also the historic centre. The staff are helpful, and the room is clean. My only quibble is the size of the room - it’s very tight and the bed is close to the desk. The external shutters were nearly closed and I couldn’t open them, which makes the room dark. It has a lot of merits, and is a good base to see Modena"

"Great breakfast, clean, near everything. The temperature in the room was a bit difficult to manage. The shower didn’t have any grab bars for an older person. "

"When you pay for a service and it’s 25 degrees outside and you get back to hotel after a long day at show you expect to have a room that the temperature is adequate to get a good nights sleep. The air conditioning was not yet operational. When I asked reception they told me it was not possible. So 5 sweaty nights sleeping with window opened. On the last morning at 7am there was no hot water. So I had to take a cold shower. I understand energy costs are hi in Italy but trying to save but cutting...

"We booked 10 rooms as a group and stayed there for 3 nights. We enjoyed our time there and liked it very much. It’s about 30 mins drive from the center Bologna, and it’s quiet but with a lot going on and especially the Saturday morning market was so much fun! The staff are professional and friendly, good breakfast and dinner. The only thing is since it’s a pretty old hotel, you need to be careful with the furnitures and facilities just not to damage anything. I think we will choose it again if...

"It was fine - nice helpful girls on reception, comfy bed, nice outdoor space with the room. Pool and gym ok. Used both. My only gripe was I booked the room with kitchen facilities and it was completely bare. You had to pay extra for the contents. What a ridiculous idea….disappointing. "
