The Tabernacle is a beautifully restored former chapel, reimagined as a unique retreat in the heart of Highland Perthshire. Designed to be a place to rest, retreat, and reset, the space combines dramatic original architecture with warmth, comfort, and carefully considered interiors.
Floor-to-ceiling altar windows flood the main living space with light and frame far-reaching views across the Tay Valley, allowing you to feel connected to the landscape in all weathers. An oversized wood-burning stove anchors the space, creating a cosy atmosphere year-round.
The building’s history is central to its character. Originally known as the Mary of Mercy Church, the chapel once stood in Aberfeldy before being carefully dismantled, stored, and later re-erected on its current hillside location in 2008. Restoring and repurposing the building has been a true labour of love, preserving its sense of place while transforming it into one of our Highland Spaces.
Outside, your private hot tub sits in an elevated position overlooking the valley, offering complete privacy and uninterrupted views. The Tabernacle is a space that enfolds you in history, landscape, and calm, an experience that feels both grounded and quietly extraordinary
