“Very nice stay would stay again !!”

“Clean room and good breakfast. Dog park down the road is a nice perk too.”

“Rooms have a weird smell. Did not use any amenities or have breakfast. There was garbage under one of the 2 beds. Carpets left my new white socks dirty on the bottom. Looks like the rooms have been recently updated, but the bathtub in one of the rooms had rust showing where the epoxy resurfacing wore through in front of the drain. Toilet kept running unless we picked up the tank lid to make it stop. WiFi is poor and annoying. Check in staff was busy smoking outside while I waited at the desk for……

“The hotel was very clean and nice. My only disappointment was the check-in. The clerk was extremely slow getting us checked in. He also tried to say our room requested had been over booked after we had already called earlier in the day to let them know we were coming in late. We were finally able to get checked in after 20+ minutes [and yes, we were the only ones checking in].”

“The price was reasonable for the room. I appreciate the wood laminate flooring, which seems much cleaner than carpeting. We appreciated the new decorative tile accents also. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the window coverings though. There was no sheer curtain to partially let in light, and only a very thick black curtain, which was full of little tiny holes. Otherwise, the property was convenient and acceptable. Also, a little Manuel with area, restaurants, and television directions……

“This is a cute little chalet. It slept the four of us just fine. Just a couple of issues, baby mothes throughout, back burner is burnt out on stove, light bulb was burned out upstairs, and overall the decor feels dated except for the new sofa. Also, outdoor chairs were dirty and filled with spider webs.”

Super kind & pleasant employees were more than happy to give recs of nearby destinations and adventures... all were polite to answer so many of our questions…was neat learning the history of the Inn, too. Building and grounds were so clean and quaint! Rooms were spacious and comfortable… Felt like stepping back into a different time & place; so many great little corners to relax, read, enjoy coffee and/or a drink. So close to great trail heads and fun towns, but……

“The location and price of the room were good. Just wish there wasn't such a high deposit.”

“Blowing Rock is a beautiful little town. Unfortunately, big conglomerates are buying up the small hotel properties, and the personal service that was once the rule is now lacking entirely. We stayed at Azalea Inn and were disappointed. To start, we had to go to a different property to check in. During our whole stay, there was never any staff onsite at Azalea. The grounds are lovely, but it's an old building. We stayed in a "deluxe" room for our anniversary, but had to climb a dark, smelly……

“Breakfast was good. Make your own waffles, danishes, fruits, bagels, sausage , eggs, toast, oatmeal. Beds were really hard, my back hurt after sleeping. Ac was … trying its best. Pool was closed both days, which was very disappointing since that was the reason we booked here. Upon arrival I couldn’t find a desk clerk, so we left and came back 30 minutes later . Overall if pool had been open I would have been much happier . However, the free breakfast was good, and you can tell they are trying, ……
