Addis Ababa Addis Merkato Hotels

"Very good"

"EXCELLENT ALL AROUND!"

"I’ve stayed here several times for more than a week at a time over the years because I need to be in this particular area. This is not a fancy hotel, but for the price, it is great. The rooms are as pictured in the photos. Simple, but always clean and the staff are extremely nice. As with much of Addis, the area around it is changing/developing dramatically. If you need to be in the Arada or Amist Kilo area, I’d stay here."

"Great place"

"All I usually need is decent bed, shower, and I’m good. Churchill fits."

"The staff were exceptional and really responsive to my requests."

"Great stay"

"Nice place to stay, I really enjoyed my stay"

"Shower poor"

"Fabulous hotel, considering the price. Clean, classy rooms, very helpful staff, free airport shuttle. They even have two lovely restaurants: one modern, and another all traditional. Top quality."

"Beautiful view, excellent staff, and the breakfast buffet was delicious👌"

"It was my first stay in Addis-besides transit airline accommodation in the past-and this hotel exceeded my expectations in all aspects. Will definitely be staying here whenever in Addis$"

"Breakfast choice was very good & restaurant staff lovely."

Staff promised it would be fixed and provided numerous excuses. The tv had one English-speaking channel: Al Jazeera. The manager/owner 'fixed' it...for a matter of minutes. The in-room refrigerator was not plugged in...because there was no electrical outlet. The manager/owner indicated he would "look at it." The...

"The hotel was close to my place of work, so I could walk rather than having to confront traffic jams. The hotel staff was friendly, which made up for the absence of a shower, and the intermittent Internet connection."

"Apart from a very good wi-fi, I can say little positive about the hotel. Firstly, the principal reason I chose it was its proximity to my workplace. It quickly turned out the location marked on the map was false. In reality it was not central at all, and roughly 5 km away. After mentioning it, I was offered a free shuttle to go to work and being picked up. Yet, each time I needed to go, either the shuttle was not available or the driver was suddenly far away (even though the shuttle car was...

"Hotel staff are very friendly, always ready to render assistance"
