“We spent seven full nights at Portofino and it was truly serene. Three things stood out: 1) The staff. Our servers E and A were truly amazing. Sometimes there was a language barrier, but it was more entertaining than a negative. As a US resident visiting a foreign country I don't expect our hosts to automatically speak english and it was actually more authentic to wade through some back and forth. And it wasn't a distraction at all we enjoyed the conversation. They were always checking on……

“Catalina Beach Resort is my happy place. The beach and views are amazing, the staff excellent, and though the property is a bit tired it is clean and well maintained. Their beach bar is the best and the breakfasts outstanding. Be mindful that it spills down the cliff and there are many stairs! I love this place. ”
