Hot Tub, Dog Friendly- 3bd/2ba home w/Retro flare!

This spacious home built in the 60's still proudly boasts that retro flare from the yellow kitchen cabinets to the pink bathtub. Situated on a quiet street, please come enjoy time in the shaded backyard with BBQ grill and native plants. Brand new mattresses and minisplits in each room for cooling/heating, will ensure a restful night. Hot Tub added!

Large open dining room and kitchen with faux fireplace ambiance. Seating at counter top and Dining table for 6. The space is perfect for office work as well.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
-Fireplace is NOT functional
-Grill: we try to provide propane but in the instance it is empty and you have to refill we will reimburse (partial) cost as long as the tank is not empty when you leave.

-HOT TUB: guest agrees to follow hot tub rules detailed in the rules, guide book, posted signs.

-Pets: We are DOG friendly, on a case-by-case basis and must be agreed upon, in writing, upon booking. Please review the rules and contact me first. There is an additional pet fee charged based on age/breed/size/quantity of the dog(s) & # of nights stayed. $50 fee is included for 1 dog. If you have more than 1 dog additional fees may be due. Fee reductions considered for 1 night stays, please contact me. NO cats allowed due to severe allergy.

-Yard/HotTub maintenance scheduled every Friday. Contractor will access back yard only, he will not go inside the home
-$100 charge if garage door opener is not left of hook at checkout
-Parking: 1 car garage is available but is on the smaller side. You can park directly behind the garage in the drive way or free street parking. DO NOT park or block the right side of the driveway or garage.
- Attached apartments behind garage is separate & not included. Privacy fenced added.
-Home is regularly treated with non-toxic pest repellent. Still, this property is located in a historic neighborhood in the desert. Bugs are a part of life here in the southwest. While we make every effort to keep it spotless for guests, we cannot completely control nature and therefore you may see the occasional bug. Please be aware of this and make sure you're ok with the possibility before booking.
-Trash:city cans for trash & recycling are located on the side of the drive way and must be taken to the street for trash pickup and brought back after if this occurs during your stay
-Ring doorbell camera installed on the exterior front door, this is the only camera and is used for security and to monitor guest count

This place is the perfect set up for a large family. Especially one that is visiting their child at the university. Everything is close and plenty of space for everybody.

The host was very responsive. That is not an issue at all. What you see on line, however, is not what you get in regards to bedrooms. I feel like this place was not eclectic as much as dated and needs a good facelift. Every rug was filthy, I bought cleaning supplies and cleaned floors and put rugs down when we left. The patio was small and not very private. It may be good enough for very short stays but for a long term rental it was not a good fit for us. A lesson for us it taught us to ask a lot more questions.

Taryn was an awesome host. She was very quick to respond to any questions I had and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. The home was exactly as shown and described. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen and living room were spacious, and the house was clean. We didn't use the hot tub so I can't comment on that.

Very nice place to stay in the Knob Hill area of ABQ.Home was spacious, clean and within walking distance of a dog park. Neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. Host was very accomodating and ensured we had a great stay. Would definitely book again!

Family getaway

This place was exactly what my daughter, grandson and son in law and I wanted. Having never been to Albuquerque before, it’s located in a great area and it was the perfect base camp for us to explore from. Having Uber readily available from here is a real plus as well. Great stay.

Great Introduction to Albuquerque

We are considering a move to the Albuquerque area and visited the area to get a first hand look, explore the communities, look at houses, and interview for jobs. The house was conveniently located restaurants, grocers, and other shops with nearby parks and points of interest and allowed us to do all we planned. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped. The living room was comfortable for our family to relax together. The bedrooms were comfortable and private with plenty of storage for our belongings and flat screened televisions in every room. The bathrooms provided body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. We were very impressed by the details the owner had incorporated including paper towels, dishwashing and laundry pods, basic kitchen essentials like seasonings, sugar, creamer, coffee, and teabags. It truly felt like home. There were even a few books and boardgames and a child's dining set that would have been most appreciated many years ago when our children were young. Kudos to owner Taryn Rivera for her hospitality and attention to detail. We would certainly recommend these accommodations to any couple or family looking for the best introduction to New Mexico.

Escape from winter, Up North

The space was appreciated. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable! Neighborhood was quiet at night. The Hot Tub was very relaxing after a busy day. The owners were responsive when a house problem arose.

More Worn than Retro

This 3 bedroom 2 bath house has large rooms and comfortable beds. The house itself is more worn than retro. Each room has a separate heating and cooling unit, the heat doesn’t move around much and the master bathroom was too cold to take a shower in the all black tile, small (roughly coffin size) shower that had no interior light. The pink tiled shower/bath combination was more usable, though it had what seemed to be black grout all around the tub. Most faucets had the hot on the right and cold on the left, the opposite of what is usual for American faucets. There were precisely 6 large plates, 6 large glasses, and 5 wine glasses which should be considered the minimum for a house for 6 people. There were no serving plates. The kitchen is large and has a gas stove with an oven. The oven can be preheated but there is no display to say what temperature the oven achieves. The large 3 door refrigerator looks like it was bought as a seconds store because it has large, prominent indentations in the doors. The house had been cleaned, but not thoroughly. There were some leftover black crepe paper still taped on a bedroom door frame, and I found a corner that seemed to have dust spilled in it. The owners were responsive when we called them that some boards had fallen from the fence that separates the two back yards; they sent someone over on December 23 to renail the boards. The hot tub in the small dusty patio was clean and got to a good temperature.

Wonderful way to ring in the New Year.

As constant travelers and host, this home was perfect for relaxation and hosting a big dinner with friends. There was only 4 of us, but would have had room to fit 6 easily. The beds were so comfy, we did not need to bring our pillows from home. Towels were better than most hotels, and there was plenty for showers and for use in the hot tub. Attention to details go a long way, having plenty of dish soap, trash bags, and even dishwasher/laundry pods, mean a lot to us. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchen needs, from spices, to pots and pans and even dishes, everything was there that we needed. The host was on point with communication needs, there was never a delay with check-ins, and reminders about entering and checking out of the home. We did not encounter any problems during our stay, but feel confident that if we had, they would have been handled with great care and in a swift manner. I also have to say that the resident in the attached property was very quiet and kept to themselves. We felt that privacy between the two units were perfect. There was plenty of parking for our two cars. Even the fireworks in the area for New Years Eve, were kept to a minimum and very little street noise was heard in the home. We all agreed that we would stay again at this home and even consider other properties that they host. Thanks for making our stay fantastic!

Bang for your buck!

Reasonably priced home. Very comfortable beds. Good communication. The house is a shared property which is not disclosed in the description. It did not present any issues but some potential renters may prefer a stand alone home. House could use a face lift, it is advertised as ' retro' and it certainly was. Overall, it was convenient and comfortable.

Great comfortable place

We came down to Albuquerque for the Duke City Marathon. Needed a stress free relaxation place. The place hit all the needs and the hot tub helped the runners sore bones and muscles.and one looking at this place grab it up. Perfectly fits your needs and close to everything you wants. cute and quaint!

We were travelling to town for a dance festival in which we were both teaching classes and performing at events. This was the perfect place to rest up and rejuvinate between rehearsals and get a great night sleep. The spa was wonderful for our feet and sore bodies. Hope to stay here again next year! The hosts were welcoming, helpful and kind. The home is eclectic and adorable and very spacious. Absolutely everything we hoped for and more!
