A charming stay with a gorgeous view of Loch Lomond. The facilities were older which isn’t a negative since it adds to its charm, however the mattress we stayed on had divots where many other people have rested their heads. The staff seemed to take great pride which was a plus. The food was fair. There isn’t much around but the Inn has a restaurant, bar and while we visited, live music which was so nice. Overall, the atmosphere we loved but the mattress really killed our quality of rest.

Very bare bones. No hair conditioner or lotion. Uncomfortable bed and very loud due to age of hotel. Location and bar are great

Ok if you’re not fussed about thrills
Dry matter of fact check in and check out…no pleasantries at all. Food bang average…ordered haggis and was delivered in 2 minutes from the microwave…whisky sauce never seen the whisky…room good though dimly lit…ok for a flying stop heading west and not bad value overall…pet hate is seeing the chefs coming back from the smoking area to the kitchen

Our stay in mid-September was very pleasant. The Beach House (Room 304) we had was excellent, modern and clean. The breakfast was excellent but our choice of dinner was a bit bland. Staff were largely professional but lacking a personal touch.

We stayed in the “Beachvane room” which was freshly renovated and had a great picture window with a double end freestanding bath Bathroom was very modern and plenty of space with a very comfortable bed

We stayed in the Beach House Annex which was newly renovated and the room was stunning. We were disappointed to find out you could not get room service and that you had to walk back to the hotel to buy drips and carry them back to the room, not a very 4 star experience. The restaurant food was disappointing, the menu offered was a restricted version of the one of the website. And even then when I ordered a pizza off the restricted menu, they had none. I ended up with a overcooked fish and chips, its more pub grub that 4 star. Breakfast was also not 4 star, pump action tea dispensers not individual tea pots, there was no bread left, they had run out, but food was hot when it came.

Just what we needed for a overnight stay away ...let down by the weather sobcouldnt get out and about to enjoy the scenery but the hotel mote than made uo for that with comfort service food and drink all outstanding

We stayed in the Beach house by the Loch with parking directly outside. Room and bathroom very spacious but only criticism was lack of light in room as had to close curtains due to it being on ground floor and parking outside.

We were duped.
This hotel is misrepresented. It is situated close to the loch, but there is a busy street and large house between the property and the water. Thus, our pricey, 'lake view' rooms, had views of the parking lot, but they were on the loch side of the property, so staff didn't seem to mind we'd been duped. The rooms itself were run down, with very uncomfortable beds, and every step our upstairs neighbour took sounded like the footsteps of a giant. The property is badly in need of renovation, and if your shower goes on more than 10 min, the steam will set off the fire alarm (a lovely footnote in out stay). One high point, the hotel bar has an excellent whisky selection, but the young man that served us seemed fine with giving my hisband his tipe in a filthy glass, and when we got to our table, we found an open, half-used mayonnaise packet tucked in with the new ones. I might have accepted this at half the price, but at such a premium, we were sorely disappointed. Finally, a heads up for handicap-able guests like my 71 year old mum: there are no lifts - a bit of info that would have been extremely helpful at the time of booking.
The mountains are nice, bit this is certainly not the 'Loch view' we were promised.
Look closely and you will find the used mayonnaise packet in with the rest. Arguably, this is probably not the hotel's fault, maybe a gross patron or thoughtless table clear - but it was the disgusting finale to a very disappointing stay.

The hotel is located overlooking the loch which was lovely. The rooms in the Beach House were very large with Sky TV. Unfortunately, the hotel needs a bit of TLC. The sofa in the room was heavily stained and the room needed a lick of paint. We found the evening meal menu quite expensive for what we were served. The breakfast menu had a good range of items but I had never seen such an intriguing (not in a good way) cold continental breakfast.

beach side room we were given had no view of the Loch. Hotel wasn't bad but I do get the impression that as with many hptels presently theyre trying to claw back lost revenue from a captave audience. nicepeople thete who are overworked due to a staff shprtage. Food was average.

Not the service you’d expect in a ‘4 star’ hotel!
The beach house is in a great location, and the room was clean and tidy. The service however was the worst I’ve ever experienced. There was never anyone at reception when called so I had to walk all the way up and hang around until someone came to the desk. Not to mention we were only there 4 days, and the key cards deactivated 3 days in a row, which meant another walk back to reception to wait around. Breakfast was slapdash and I got different things every time, even though I’d ordered the same thing. You had to get the waiters attention if you needed anything as they never checked in on you or asked if you wanted tea/coffee/juice refills. The food was average, nothing spectacular. Overall the service wasn’t acceptable, but location and room were great.
