"An absolutely fantastic stay, directly adjacent to the ferry terminal, with excellent views over the lake, and a great breakfast. I like that Verbania is less full of tourists than Stresa, but still has a wonderful waterfront, great restaurants, etc."

"This was our third visit to Stresa and our second visit this summer, but our first at this hotel. The staff were professional and friendly from check in and throughout our stay. The hotel is in prime position for lake access and for strolling into town. Gardens, pool area outside, indoor pool and spa facilities were all excellent and well maintained. Thank you to all at Regina Palace for a memorable visit."

Especially given how rare a pool can be. The only thing which prevented me from giving a full five stars on everything, was certain parts of the house and facilities are showing sign of wear. Some folks who are used to a hotel experience need to reevaluate their expectations. I would put this property on par with a B&B which has grown a "little tired with wear.""

The breakfast included in the price offers a great choice of cold cut meats, cheeses, bread, jams and cereals. But what really made our stay memorable was the staff. The kind male owner was so friendly at check in, offering lots of literature and information for local restaurants, transport and events. And when we left to move to our next hotel in the next town of Stresa 15 minutes drive away, he had one of his team drive us there - what more can you ask of a hotel. We will be back. "
