Overnight stay

Easy check in online prior to arrival. Was welcomed by friendly staff and were shown straight up to our room and advised on the evening meal options. Had dinner in the restaurant which was good, and a range of local beer was available. Room was very comfortable with usual drink options plus a coffee machine. Good options on the breakfast menu, which was delicious.

Very good

Very pleasant stay at this pub with rooms. Good food, very good decor, good selection of drinks. Comfortable room and efficient service. One minor (and by no means a not uncommon situation these days); would young bar staff PLEASE stop referring to me as “mate” I’m not your mate, I’m a customer. Might be ok if the barman was Australian, but trust me; it’s not friendly, it’s disrespectful!!

Nice little stay.

We had a warm welcome, the rooms are well laid out with en-suite, providing shower wash and conditioner. A welcome tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryer. There are ample plug sockets. The beds are comfortable and we also had a meal in the pub on the evening of our arrival. Food is lovely and certainly recommended. The rates are comparative to the area, and as it’s situated in Holybourne there wasn’t any traffic noise or town noise to content with. There was a little bit of music noise from the pub til about 11:30 and again from 7:45 am but that didn’t disturb us.
