"The guest house was exactly as pictured. The location was very peaceful and quiet with great views. It is connected to the main house but there were no issues with privacy or noise. Check in was very easy and the house was ready for us when we arrived. The floor in the bathroom needed to be swept (a few dead bugs) but at least they were dead. ;) Other than that, the house was clean and prepared. Very easy check out process as well. Would definitely recommend staying here if group of 4 or less....

The location is great, right in the heart of Amish country: most of the shops, restaurants, and attractions you might want to visit are within a short drive, and right nearby are great spots like Immergut Pretzels for a great snack, Stolzfus Meats for stuff to cook yourself or bring home, and lots of shops. The house itself is a cute property that's been nicely updated and is perfect for a small family or 1-2 couples....

The host was friendly, and the presence of cute animals like cats, dogs, and rabbits added charm. However, the lack of air conditioning and a mildew smell on the towels were the little drawbacks. "The Red Caboose is a cute spot to stay outside of Lancaster. We were in town for the Sight & Sound Theatre, and this is really the BEST location. It was a quick five-minute drive. The caboose was comfortable and had everything we needed. Fancy? Not really, but you don’t always need fancy. The staff were wonderful and helpful. Honestly, everyone in Lancaster is so friendly. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast too, and really enjoyed it. It was enough food to last us through the day. "
