“We usually visit the Newport area once a year since 2000. The cottage, by far, is the nicest place we stayed at. The cottage was clean and comfortable, the neighborhood quiet and the location great. If we had any questions, Lisa answered quickly. Looking forward to coming back again.”

“Gary was a truly gracious host. The house is beautiful and very clean. There are so many amenities that made the stay even more enjoyable including the upgrades to the bathrooms. The pool was perfect to cool down after the heat wave that hit and the hot tub was amazing as well. The kitchen has everything anyone would need to make meals while enjoying your stay. We will definitely stay again in the future! The view is pretty great too. Thank you, Gary! ”

“I have stayed at many VRBOs in the past and this by far was the best one I have ever stayed in. We were greeted with plenty of coffee, creamer, fresh eggs, popcorn and a kitchen full of staples. Anything you would need for your stay was in the home. The home is comfortable and very well kept. The owner is right next door and the most pleasant person you will ever meet. We absolutely can’t wait to visit again. If visiting Massachusetts I highly recommend this VRBO. You will not be disappointed.……

“We went for 1 night, a group of seven women. The beds are mostly doubles so one of us had to sleep on the pull-out couch, but it was comfortable. Middletown is quiet and gorgeous and we especially enjoyed the proximity to Newport. We had some small issues but they were resolved. Overall a very nice experience.”

“It’s an older motel, slightly rundown, slightly shabby. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. The neighborhood was safe and the location was very convenient to a nearby expressway. It was easy to get into Providence RI. There’s a nearby family restaurant with decent food and friendly service. We knew going in that it would not be fancy. We got what we paid for. ”

“This property was extremely disappointing. I know they are working on updating free property but the rugs were stained. The towels were STAINED. I expect nice clean non stained towels. I asked for a no smoking room a d I believe it was an old smoking room by the door where people smoke.”

“Nice view of the river. I arrived at night and was a little disappointed I could not really see the river however the river is just not lit up very well in this area. In the morning it was beautiful view of the river. We enjoyed a cup of coffee on the balcony looking over the courtyard at the river. Would stay again if ever in the area again.”

“We were a bit underwhelmed by the property. It was a bit more run down then we expected. Not sure what the issue was but there was police presence when we got there, which was concerning. And not that it was the property’s fault but some of the guests were a bit noisy late at night. It was fine for one night and served it’s purpose, we were only there to sleep.”

“The staff was great, the property not so much. Bathroom did not have a toilet paper holder, and the bathroom sink had no stopper to allow filling the sink to shave. The listing did not have the address or phone number for the property nor did it include directions to get there .”

“We were in town for our daughter’s hockey game at St George’s. 4 Kent fit the bill in every way: location, size of property, cleanliness. It’s a very cute house and very comfortable for our family. ”

“The place is very nice and quaint. The bed was so nice and the little patio was so cute. The walk to the beach is awesome and the parking is nice perfect. ”

“This had everything we needed. It had the space we needed very comfortable in a nice neighborhood you could walk to the beach. They even provided beach towels. You just had to go there and enjoy yourself.It is a very large house a lot of stairs. But with that being said, the view was amazing..”

Pity, pity, pity~

"The hotel’s location is great, not far from main street. They also offer a free Shuttle bus to take customers to the busiest area in town, so, you don’t have to worry about parking ! We reserved a water view room. It had two big windows , one of the curtain is broken, and they said they are out of batteries, so can not fix it during our stay, so we had to keep it closed all the time. So we can not see the water view from our bed, also because it is too broken, it can not really block the light either! We pay more for a water view room, but end up had no view and no good sleep! Pleople who works in the bar restaurant are really friendly, but the environment is filthy! A lot feathers came out of decoration pillows! Not very comfortable visually! "
