My family of 8 stayed a week in July. We loved the LARGE, comfortable beach house. We've been coming to the Oregon Coast for many years; Arch Cape specifically. The house we always rented before this one underwent a remodel, totally taking away all the charm. Although it was beautiful, it looked like any condo remodel.
This house worked great for our needs. We were celebrating my 80 year old Dad's birthday, and he was able to stay on the main level, avoiding the stairs up and down. There are 2 living areas, and a very large dining table that worked out great. We also used the grill several times. There were plenty of dishes and cookware.
The beach access was just a couple of houses down. There is a steep hill , so I would drive my Dad up and down the hill. The path is very easy from there. There are small rocks to cross to get to the beach, but there was a worn path in the rocks. My dad was able to do it fine , and a walking stick made it even better.
There are plenty of bathrooms, and I loved the big tub upstairs. I didn't love the shower for that particular tub, as it had the circular rod at the top, with the shower curtain enclosing you as you shower. That's just a part of having that great tub.
It's not a new house, if that's what you're wanting, go get a condo on the beach, or pay a lot more for a remodeled one. I love the charm and feel of this house.
One thing I was disappointed by was that there is a new construction house next door, very close. It does not show this in the pictures. Maybe update pictures?
Overall... I would and will stay here again.
