「The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!」

「The property/building is beautiful but away from downtown Athens. We had been to the restaurant previously and were looking forward to a wonderful stay. With expectations admittedly high, our stay was underwhelming. Check in did not go smoothly. The staff were very slow snd it took about 20 minutes, even though we were the only ones checking in. The restaurant was closed between 2-5 pm and so there were no food options on property. The bar had no food and room service was somehow not...

「The breakfast was excellent. Everything was kept clean and fresh. The staff was very friendly. As usual in hotels the AC switched on and off making it noisy. The bedclothes did not allow for maintaining a comfortable sleeping temperature. There was a nightstand on only one side of the bed, which was inconvenient. Otherwise, the room was quiet.」

「Staff did not clean room or provide towels the second day of a 3 day stay. Lower area not to my standards for a Best Western but I don't know anything about tower rooms. Parking is minimal and difficult to acquire if late returning. Breakfast was definitely of low standards with minimal selections. No breakfast available last morning at 0800 on April 20,2026, no coffee, nothing.」

「The staff at the reception were courteous and helpful. I used the stationary bicycle in the gym. Didn't have time to use the indoor pool but it looked clean. I didn't like the smell of the room. It took a bit of work to program TV so I could watch. Convenient location. Reasonable price.」

「Then whole floor smelled weed. This is a large hotel, and this is not the first time I stay here. But I notice the people that tend to stay here are more and more sketchy. The whole floor smelled to marihuana. Sad.」
