Enjoyed complimentary fresh coffee in the afternoon and complimentary alcoholic drinks in the evening. Hotel room is small and it is hard to locate the car park when checking in. Breakfast is average.

Unpleasant stay
Booked 2 nights but ended up staying only 1 night as it was quite unbearable. Extremely old hotel and it has got no air conditioning; only the heater which made us feel really hot and stuffy (not forgetting the mouldy smell in the room). Asked the staff to open up the sliding door to the balcony but they couldn’t do it. The only good thing about this hotel is the happy hour free drink for every guest (1 each) and the free breakfast buffet. It is next to a famous ramen shop though we didn’t get to try as the queue was long. For the price we paid, this is definitely not a good choice of hotel. Will not return for sure....

On site parking for 800 yen a day in the vertical carpark, free breakfast and a free happy hour drink in the evenings were the big pluses of this hotel. Unfortunately they were not able to accommodate our request (made at the time of booking) for a non-smoking room, however it ended up being bearable.

Business-like hotel for overnight stay. Hotel provided free breakfast and happy hour drinks. Also paid parking available. Room was a bit stuffy but otherwise clean. Also perhaps due to change in weather, heater was turned on. Very accessible to Asahikawa JR station, dining street and amenities.

Location is good. Extremely impressed by the courteous young male service staff during breakfast. He was very patient and accomodating to guests' request. Was observing him from my table, not once did he show unhappiness despite being grossly overworked.

Business hotel with modest service
Pros: The location is great. Car park within the facility for nominal fee of 500 yen per day was good. Happy hour free drink in the evening was cool. Staff were helpful. Cons: Room is very small and the Inn doesn’t have much facilities. It’s primarily suitable only for sleeping at night and go out in the morning. Overall a positive experience over the 3 night we spent there.

Excellent, strongly recommend
Stayed in a single, non-smoking room for 2 nights. Room was clean. Toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, etc.), slippers were provided, including tea and electric kettle. Hotel staff were pleasant, enthusiastic and very helpful. Breakfast was great, on 1F. Provided Free Drink (alcohol/non-alcohol) during Happy Hour (18:00-20:00) at Breakfast Room on 1F. Overall very impressed!! Will stay here again in the future.

It was a very cosy hotel and the staff were very pleasant and made us feel welcome. It's about 10-minutes away from the nearest station but it's an enjoyable walk and the breakfast there is really a good spread.

Value for money. Bed size a bit small though.
Breakfast was good. The room size is small. Shower and toilet size are small. Bed are small and hence uncomfortable - this is aligned with the low price with breakfast included. It would have been Location wise, not too bad as can walk to eating places nearby and JR station. Parking lots was available to me at 500 yen per day.

Great Value
location is near JR station. affordable price with king size bed for 2. Room is small as the price u paid. Staffs are friendly. hotel has lift up parking . 500 Yen per night. room is clean . no aircond so abit hot during summer.

Nice hotel close to Asahikawa Station

Nice hotel convenient for snow festival
Great little room close to the snow festival sites. Ten minutes walk to the train station, 20 to the main snow park. The sculptures area is practically on the doorstep. Room is a decent size, has a desk and other facilities for use, and staff are all great.

Unexpected perks, Excellent value and service
I thought this would be a typical Japanese business hotel stay, but I was impressed with all the extras and special touches. One free happy hour drink (draft Sapporo plus whiskey, gin, shoju options) plus an extensive breakfast buffet. Everything exceeded my expectations. I will stay at Kuretake hotels again in the future.

Great stay for the price! Definitely worth the value. Considerably spacious, comfortable for two unlike the usual Japanese Hotel Rooms. Great service and clean. Provide free drinks during happy hour. The staffs are friendly and helpful to us too, and they are able to converse in basic English definitely a plus point for foreigners.

Great Hotel at Asahigawa
Enjoyed the stay at Asahigawa. Breakfast was great and there is a staff who speaks good English ( Da Xi San ) and was very helpful. Booked a double room and it comes with a personal microwave and washing machine. Hotel provides free washing machines and dryers. Hotel is located near shops and nice eateries. Good value for money.

Fairly priced jumping off point for daisetsuzan NP
Staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. ~7 minutes walking from the train/bus station, mall, most restaurants. Rooms are very small, though not smaller than most Japanese rooms. Asahikawa doesn't have much to offer, so we only used it as a jumping off point for Daisetsuzan National Park.
