Great historic home near heart of city
I ended up booking this house because there was a big convention in town and I couldn't get a hotel room. I'm so glad I found this spacious house at a fraction of what it would have cost to stay elsewhere.
I was in town on business. The house had a nice desk in its own room, and wifi access. It had lots of original features that added to its character. The furniture, especially the master bed, was extremely comfortable. There were spacious balconies in the front and the back to get some fresh air.
The house itself was great, but without a doubt, the location was the best part. There were terrific views from the back deck. Look down and you see the huge park. Look up and you see downtown/midtown Atlanta. Walk out the front door and you are surrounded by a neighborhood that actually has character (I live in the suburbs in a metro like Atlanta where all houses look the same).
There is access to a ton of stuff within walking distance. It was sprinkling the night I got there and I still walked to the restaurant...it's that close (great BBQ at Sweet Auburn BBQ). Within a couple minute walk there is a grocery store, urban outfitters, and several other restaurants. Plus, you can uber to tons of other places for $5.
Overall, it was a cool house in a cool neighborhood. I wish I stayed a few more days and brought my wife with me to enjoy it.
