“The property was lovely very home from home. We felt comfortable straight away. The brilliant shower. The bed was very comfortable. Anyone wanting a lovely peaceful holiday. The wee retreat is definitely the place to go. ❤️”

“The apartment is well situated for walking to town center and the beach front. Car parking was available and more than adequate. Facilities in the apartment were comfortable and more than enough for 2 guests. The heating system needed some attention but I was quickly helped by Ian and we got things running again. We would suggest the inclusion of at least 1 toilet roll , we travelled from the Netherlands and preferred not to go directly to the supermarket. Other than that we had a great stay.”

“Caravan was comfortable and was OK for the couple of nights we stayed However some half used items of food had been left in the fridge and the furnishings were a little worn. Caravan and bed were creaky although this was mainly down to the high winds the weekend we were there.”

“In general, the place was clean and well kept. I wrote the owner about mold in the shower and received no response. The neighborhood and street noise left a lot to be deired. Very run down.”

“Beautiful spacious 2 bed flat. Everything you need for a home away from home. Close to amenities. Very easy to access on arrival. No need to meet someone to get keys. Would recommend. Only thing I would add is to request WiFi password. I couldn’t find it in the book that gives you the information of surrounding area or written down somewhere. Maybe I just couldn’t see it. ”

“3 night stay to attend the Air Show. Apartment was clean and comfortable with everything we needed, including parking. Located in a nice, quiet area, close to the beach. Shops, restaurants and Low Green for the air display were all within easy walking distance. Fab weekend, would definitely stay again. Thanks!”

“Enjoyed the weekend at Wauchope Cottage. Perfect location to explore the coast and Galloway forest area of SW Scotland. House is super clean and much more room than we expected. The grounds are gorgeous and we loved walking around. It would be nice if there was an opportunity to visit the castle to see the inside. This is a fairly remote property, so be prepared to drive to anything you need. But so quiet and peaceful.”
