Great for families

Wonderful house near the beach with lots of nice extras- hot tub, great kitchen equipment, welcome bags with starter packs of coffee, detergent, sponge, Netflix, beach chairs, etc. Very family friendly.

House was great

Location couldn’t have been better. The house was spacious and had everything you’d need to have a large family gathering. I’ve never seen so many plates, dishes, and cooking things in my life. The hot tub was a nice touch bc the ocean was too cold at the time we stayed. It was a really short walk to the beach and everything you need like stores are a short drive. I’d stay again.

Fun in the OBX

Our whole family - parents, four grown children and their spouses and fiancé -spent a lovely week at the beach. Plenty of room for us all to spread out. Coffee shops, a gym and gift shops in walking/biking distance. Short walk to the beach. We had a lovely time.

Fare Sea Well Family Getaway

As an extended family, 12 family members spent the week at Fare Sea Well. We arrived and the house wasn't completely ready (some bedding was still in the washer/dryer) but house was overall clean. The location to walk to the beach & ocean was perfect. With only two couches, we wished there was more comfortable seating in the living room for all of us. The top penthouse bedroom was perfect with the private deck - as we spent mornings watching the sunrise with coffee. We highly recommend this property.

Great Family Get-together

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home worked very well for us. It was in a super location and was well stocked and cleaned very well!! It was advertised as sleeping 13, so we had 3 sleeping in the king bed and one in the couch. The rental company did bring a air mattress and since then the property has been advertised as sleeping 11. We still had a great time with our family and enjoyed being so close to the beach!!

Shore Beats Work

Overall the rental experience was great. The property was clean when we arrived, and we very much liked both the electronic checking/keyless entry and text-message-based communications. There were some minor issues with the main light in the kitchen, but the service staff were friendly and took care of it quickly (Granted, the light stopped working again on our last day, even though the bulbs had been replaced). Our interactions with Shore Details were great. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the booking experience through VRBO. I wish I had found the property directly through Shore Details. VRBO added additional service charges, offered confusing options for travel insurance and damage insurance that overlap with options from Shore Details (of which, I ended up being double-charged through VRBO), and VRBO also made the billing extremely confusing b/c the costs on received invoices and the charges that ended up on credit card statements did not match up. Based on this experience I would definitely book with Shore Details again, but never again through VRBO.

Had the most amazing stay here!!! We drove up and down the entirety of OBX and came to the conclusion that Avon and specifically this house was by far the best location. Quiet area with enough businesses within a short walk or bike ride (bikes rented through shore details were dropped off at the house for us, SO convenient!) The most beautiful beach was just down the road. The house is HUGE! And we loved it so much. It had EVERYTHING you need in the kitchen, fantastic hot tub, cute hammocks on the porch, enough deck area in and out of the sun throughout the day. It's the best house on the block and it's fully stocked with anything could could possibly need at a beach house. Would absolutely love to come back here. 10/10 would recommend

Place was plenty big enough for my family and we really had a great time. However, house could use some upgrades, specifically kitchen and bathrooms. Would also recommend an exterminator since we did see some spiders inside and cockroaches out on the decks. Overall, it was great having our dogs with us for a much needed vacation.

Family Vacation - Fair Sea Well

The house was much like it is described in VRBO. We enjoyed the open space of the living, dining and kitchen area where all 10 of us could comfortably hang out. The walk to the beach was more like 5 minutes rather than 3 but then we had a 3 year old setting the pace. Avon is a great small town and had everything we needed. We did have about half a day without water because a water main was being worked on while we were there and then had a boil order. Food Lion on Sunday was completely over crowded. Perhaps because of the water problem and the fact that it was raining. Shop early for groceries. Noise and vibration from the living dining room and walking (running) on the decks was disturbing for people trying to sleep on the first level. We have a 1-year-old who needs frequent naps. We also had 2 9-year-olds who couldn't walk softly. A broken chair and a damaged lamp cord created some safety hazard but fortunately no one was injured. Some of the deck furniture was a little wobbly and in poor repair. The outside shower was convenient. The house was clean and had most of what we needed. We brought some of our own towels, paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, and dishwasher soap and were glad that we did. There were 6 adults and four children in our group. Once the sun came out we were able to spend many hours enjoying the beach.

Great Family Place

My family really enjoyed their stay here. The living space is open and perfect for a large family. I especially love the top bedroom as an option for parents or older couple to escape from the noise of the lower levels. House was clean and perfect!
