"Amazing views from Matthews Lodge!!!! This is my third stay (first time after hurricane Ian) and every time the staff, from the office staff to the maintenance team to the housekeeping team are ALL amazing! Always right there to tend to every need with a smile! I don’t think there is ever a day they would ever not make this place feel like home away from home!! The Island Inn is a must and the island would not feel the same without them! They are working hard to re build the future and sustain the incredible history this Inn has to offer its guests. In fact, if I lived close enough, they make the environment so great I would even want to work there! God Bless!! Dawn H"

"This place was great. Very comfortable, clean and the location to beach was awesome. Some construction going on in a effort to bring this little Island back to normal, after all the recent storms. We totally understood and it didnt affect our little get a way. "

"The condo is immaculate! There is a binder on the coffee table with several great suggestions and although some of the numbers didn't work, the places we went were great!The island is still recovering from Hurricane Ian, but we went in the off season and everywhere we we there was no waiting. 10/10 "

"This property is great! It’s a nice space for the 6 people we had. Everything was in great order and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook simple meals. The water is a bit strong for our taste and we required bottled water for making ice and drinking. The complex is going under improvements, but the noise didn’t bother us much while we were at the beach or pool. The pavilion is going to be spectacular and the convenient restrooms next to the pool are fabulous. This property is only a short walk to all the amenities. Bring good bug spray and some long shirts/pants as the no-see-ums are relentless when the breeze dies down. The complex also has plenty of beach loungers so we didn’t find a need to bring down chairs unless you want to sit at the waters edge. "

"We had the best time here! The view is something you only dream about. The pictures are great but really don't do the view justice. This was also our first time on the Gulf Coast - it'll be hard to do the Atlantic side again! The layout of this condo is so unique. It was fully stocked in the kitchen and we had nice new beach chairs to use along with a cart to wheel it down. It truly is only steps to the beach. My father in law isn't much of a sand guy, but the balcony was so close, he could sit out there and it was like he was right there with us. Points to him for avoiding the no-see-ums! They are plentiful. We did run into a few issues during our stay, but the host was so attentive and more than accommodating. We are very grateful to them for making us feel comfortable during our stay.The condo does still have some construction ongoing, but it was barely heard by us. The place is beyond beautiful and well worth a visit. And for those hunting for shells, this beach did not disappoint! The owners have a poster in the living room of all they types of shells found on sanibel island - it was cool to being our findings back at the end of each day to see exactly what we had found. We turned it into a scavenger hunt to see if we could find them all! We did find some sand dollars and larger shells, but they were very much still alive/inhabited, so we got a good look and put them back in the water. We'll definitely be back when we visit the Gulf! 10/10 Beach trip. "

"The property was nicely appointed with an updated interior. The kitchen had everything we needed for the entire stay. The owners even checked to make sure we had everything we needed after checkin. The proximity to the beach was the reason for our renting the condo, but the condo would be our reason for returning to the condo's complex. We will definitely be repeat customers if we return to the area. "

"Breakers West was a very pleasant property. Just a short walk to the quietest beach I’ve ever experienced. Two things to note: 1. Shower products are not provided, be sure to bring your own shampoo/body wash. 2. The balcony is really nice and there’s a citronella candle on the table to help keep the VERY PERSISTENT noseeums away BUT, there is no lighter to light the candle - maybe it’s just for show but I think it would’ve been a lot nicer out there in the evenings if we’d been able to light the candle. In summery, neither of these issues are deal-breakers when it comes to choosing this lovely property. We had a wonderful stay!"
