“I read a lot of great reviews on this place and mainly its cleanliness.. this was NOT the case for me at all. My cabin (#3) smelled of urine. There was what i think was mouse droppings on my bed and all over the floor (see pics). I left and came back that evening to find a dead bat on my floor (i may have missed it 1st inspection). Bedding was covering in what i don’t even know. Dirt? Dust?The thought of having pizzas and wings is nice if you don’t order by 5pm can’t enjoy those. So i guess……

“Had to switch rooms because our first one had dirty towels and smelled of smoke. Staff was courteous in making the change. Wifi was in and out the whole time. The wind caused roof damage on our 2nd night, so there was debris in the parking lot. Location wasn't bad but could have been cleaner and better cared for.”

“Air conditioning worked great! The Front porches with rocking chairs are a very nice surprise and to sit out there morning or night is absolutely serene! All you hear is nature! We went horseback riding and that was amazing! To go through the trail through the trees and see the hills and wow what a view from the top! At night to look up at the stars is amazing! There’s so many, never seen anything like it! Breakfast was good with options and there’s a pool, fire pit! The town of Bandera is……

“This facility is so much bigger than I expected. The cabin we stayed in is not new by any means and they have newer and bigger ones but for what we paid it was an exceptional deal. If you have an RV or motor home I think it would be great for a weeks stay or longer. It was cool watching the deer at sunrise and sunset. Beautiful country for motorcycle riding.”

“The property is nestled in the Medina mountains in an 11 room resort and spa. The owners met with us each night sharing stories, laughs, wine and food. In the morning we hiked up the mountain trail to a cabin with a back deck that overlooked the hillside. If you want peace, quiet, no children and good old fashion conversation you will not find any better than Escondida Resort. The entire staff is humble, courteous and good people to share a cup of coffee or a laugh. I highly recommend this……
