“The manor house common areas are decorated artfully and the seating is comfortable. The pool is made to look like a grotto and is very pleasant, especially when the frogs start to sing. Strolling the grounds is a treat and the peacocks are quite entertaining. The dining is excellent and I had shrimp each day in different dishes. The chef cooks it perfectly! ”

“This property is in a good location, close to many beaches and amenities. I have been here several times, but I find the upkeep has gone down. All of our in-unit appliances were extremely old and the fridge leaked the entire time (it was replaced on the day we checked out). The power and wifi went out a few times during our 10 days. The furniture is very dated and could use replacement asap. The bathroom has a lot of signs of wear too. The cleaning staff were amazing but I miss the old hotel……

“I was extremely disappointed with my stay here and am glad I stayed elsewhere on the island for the majority of my time in Barbados. The rooms here felt like jail cells, not one piece of art, no hot water and no mirror above the sink in the bathroom. There was also no fridge for leftovers but a stove? The beach area is too small for all the people that are staying there, there also wasn’t enough pool chairs so multiple people were left to sit in the dinner chairs rather than lay by the pool or……

“The cleanliness and work by staff was outstanding. The Pool and premises were very beautiful. The nearness to the beach and good shopping is excellent. The things to be improved are the Internet. It was working well for two weeks and after the hotel was under new ownership it cut in and out. The Fridge leaked water. A promise to repair was not carried out in 3 weeks. The room safe was broken. The promise of replacement was not carried out. When using the phone to contact reception the 100 number……

“The room was basic. Tv didn’t work. Outside door did not shut so had to be locked all the time. No hot water in shower. The position was amazing, right opposite Rockley Beach. ”
