「The receptionist spoke no English. The room had no safe. A cockroach was in the room. There was no “Tranquility” at Freedom Beach. Not anything near what was expected. The only quiet time is after 20:00 hours when the crowds which start arriving at 9:00, have gone home. Disappointed. The bathroom was so poor, I couldn’t take a shower or sit on the toilet. 」

「The property is on a quiet street with no clubs or shops. It feels like a movie set at night, so peaceful it’s unreal. Until you walk into the building, and realize the hostel is the club. During the day it’s a bunch of adventurous 20-somethings laying around chatting, sunbathing, doing some remote work, etc. At night, the pool area becomes a party zone of dance music and bar games and tattoos and fun. The noise winds down around 11pm, when the majority of the residents join in on a club...
