Everything about this place is simply horrible. Ricardo the owner got very angry at me when i simply asked him to chain up or lock away this aggressive gray and white pit bull and other dog that looked muttish. I explained to him that I was bitten by a pit bull last year unprovoked and Im still dealing with the trauma. He told me the dogs were adopted and they bar but don’t bite. I guess he’s counseled the dogs. Secondly, I paid for a king bed online to get a queen bed. The room was small and drab. The closet door which was huge would not open, so i could not use it to store my clothes. Bathroom is outside room across the hallway. Me and Ricardo got into an argument about the room Because he was trying to justify the false advertising and couldn’t understand that not everyone likes dogs. I asked him to please cancel my reservation and refund my money because I did not get what I paid for and his expedia advertisement was very misleading and said nothing about aggressive pit bulls running around without leashes barking at customers. Place is at dead end street and very dangerous only one way out. Parking is horrible!He would not cancel and refund me. I left and found another hotel. Thats how bad the experience was.

Los muebles en las habitaciones están mal ubicados, tienen detectores de humo en la habitación que suenan beep cada 15 minutos lo que hace imposible descansar, el baño está fuera de la habitación en el pasillo,no hubo agua en ningún servicio de baños durante mi estadía, las señoras de limpieza son amables y serviciales, más la gerente no estaba a la llegada le solicité un late check out a través del personal de servicio ya que mi vuelo es para estar a las 6 en el aeropuerto, entiendo que la habitación estuviera no disponible más toda la situación fue desinformada y confusa, a media mañana me informan que me podían dejar estar hasta las 14:00 sin más información, y luego al salir a esa hora, la gerente en un tono de voz alterada, y descortés, hizo comentarios inapropiados y me pidió pagar 30k pesos por las dos horas de uso extra, al reclamarle lo que escribí en este reporte me bajó el cargo extra a 20K, le expresé mis quejas a lo que dijo:" si tienes algún problema resuelvelo en la plataforma". pagué los 20K , aquí tengo el recibo, y ahora estoy esperando por 6 horas en el aeropuerto solo para no permitir más falta de respeto de la gerente del ORESCA HOTEL a mí persona.

Great! For our flight to Cartagena, my husband and I decided to stay at Oresca Hostel because it was close to the airport. We liked the place so much, we booked it again when it was time to leave Cartagena. It was then that we met the young owner of Oresca, Ricardo G. Stand, who just happens to be a wonderful young man. The following morning, long before anyone else was awake, Ricardo was there with take-away breakfasts in hand. While my husband and I demanded to carry our own backpacks, Ricardo walked us to the airport, just a 10 minute stroll away. On another note: Don’t worry about being too close to the airport. During our time there we saw and heard very few planes.

Air conditioning working properly, lukewarm shower which is ok for me, Netflix in our room, comfortable mattress, good breakfast. Everything is close to the hotel (less than 10 minutes walk): plenty for restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries, groceries, beach, airport. Despite the hotel next to airport, I didn’t hear any noise from the planes flying. The only thing that I would like in my hotel room is a blanket to sleep and a few hangers in my closet.

The hosts were nice and the room was clean and the breakfasts were delicious. My only complaints were the owner’s barking dogs (and I am a dog lover) but they were right outside my room barking for some time at night. Also, the swinging doors to the kitchen (which was next to my room) were very loud anytime anyone went in or out. But for the price, it was good value for the money.
