“So terrible we walked in and walked out again, drove around to find a different hotel! This hotel gave me the creeps, like something out of a horror movie with an American hostel feel. We arrived late (10 ish pm) and despite the hotel being quite quiet our room was given to us and was one of the last rooms down a long dark corridor at the back of the building. I was travelling alone with my young daughter and couldnt understand why we were put so far away from civilisation. Something felt……

“Overall the stay was excellent the hosts were amazing and flexible suggesting places to eat for dinner nearby. The breakfast was delicious. The room was to a high standard and the bathroom was clean with a great shower. Only two reasons it didn’t get a 5 star. The road into the hotel is a dirt track and we had heavy rain and the potholes or rather gorges were filled with water and impossible to see how deep. You had to drive under 5 mph to try to retain the floor of your car. The second was……

“Our suite was large and clean, and had we been staying for more than 1 night, the fridge and dining room table & chairs would have been well used and much appreciated. We arrived when it was dark and, unfortunately, the grounds were poorly lit so it took a while to locate our suite number using our mobile phone torches. The rooms smelt a bit damp and the bathroom had a slight 'eggy' smell, although everything looked clean and well kept. It was a large suite. Unfortunately the WiFi did not……

“We were very well looked after by Shaan & Sef who must be the one prepared our breakfast which was freshly made and ample every morning . The room was clean and spacious enough for us & our dog Rocky. Tumbleweed is a good place to stay for a few days to visit the local attractions, such as Sherwood Forest, nearby. It is a heaven for dog owners and joggers. I jogged with my dog along the Well Lane & The Avenue every morning and walked my dog on the couple of bridal ways nearby in the evening.……
