A lovely old stone fireplace in the sitting room, local art on the walls and attractive fabrics give much character to this cosy cottage. Leave your hats and coats in the porch, settle into the comfy sofa and chairs – you’ll find lots of books, guides, cookery books and maps to leaf through and a cupboard full of games. The separate dining room has bench seating for convivial meals and the kitchen is compact but well-equipped with a sweet window seat.
Upstairs there are bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin/double, 1 single) in neutral colours with feather and down duvets and pillows, soft throws and painted wooden furniture – one has views towards the church tower, all are warm and very comfortable.
A five-minute walk will take you to an independent greengrocers, bakery and butcher for stocking up, and in summer you can eat in the little garden surrounded by mature trees and shrubs, or hide in the summer house.
