"This year was my ninth February spent at Halcyon House, a destination that has begun to feel like "coming home." The house has been beautifully maintained, and Kelly is consistently the ultimate host: available, responsive, and attuned to details that have made me sorry to leave and eager to return. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, the linens (sheets and towels) pristine, and the heating/cooling system state of the art. And the views--always spectacular. I'm looking forward to year ten!"

"Our family of 6 adults recently spent five nights at Castaway Cove in February and had a wonderful experience. Each couple had their own bedroom, and two couples shared a bathroom. The living area was spacious, making it perfect for us to relax and spend time together. The kitchen had everything we needed (I would recommend bringing some chip clips). We enjoyed the balcony, patio and pool area. The house is located one block from beach access and a short walk to Pine Avenue where there are a variety of shops, cafes, pizza place, donut shop, small general store, outdoor market on Tuesdays and many other stores and restaurants. We would gladly stay at Castaway Cove again and highly recommend it. Guests should be aware that shampoo, conditioner, body wash and tissues are not provided. Great host who responded quickly to questions. It was an added advantage that the only instructions on departure were to remove all consumables and take out all garbage. "

"Super location to the beach! Great pool and hot tub! Kitchen well appointed. Plenty of pool and beach gear! So fun!"

"Host was great no issues there. Just wasn’t impressed with the furniture and bed.Wasn’t very comfortable, the maintenance on the house was in much need of attention.It’s the details like frayed window shades, chipped tiles, stained grout. There was a dirty towel left on back of bathroom door from previous occupants. Anna Maria Island is not a cheap vacation and that’s fine, but with that is the expectation of nice accommodations. One of the bed pillows had a smell of being washed and not dried all the way. It was the only feather pillow in the place. Should be replaced "

"We decided to splurge on this property and pay more than we typically do for a rental, so we arrived with high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.Before booking, we were told there would be beach chairs available at the property, but there were none. We were also informed that the home had a heated pool and that we could use a remote to control the heater. The company told me to search for the remote located by the pool. I spent a significant amount of time searching for this remote, only to receive a call later that evening saying there was no remote and that the heater was controlled elsewhere. Despite this, the pool temperature never rose above 69 degrees, which is not what most would consider a heated pool. I read the property manual inside and out only to find much of the instructions did not pertain to this property. In addition, the showers were difficult to operate and required a call to maintenance, and the master bathroom toilet was not functioning upon arrival, which also required service.The view from the property is truly breathtaking, and that was a highlight of our stay. However, the issues with the pool, plumbing, and inconsistent communication made the experience feel far from luxurious. We paid a premium expecting a higher level of quality and service, and unfortunately felt we received a mediocre experience with little more than an apology from the management company."
