Boarders Inn & Suites by Cobblestone Hotels - Munising
10/10 Excellent
"Great hotel management. The hotel knows their clientele and adjust accordingly. The pool and hot tub are opened until 2am. They have sweatpants and sweatshirts for sale in the lobby. This was a lifesaver when we got into the hotel at midnight on the first day of summer and the temperatures were in the 40s with a high of 65. Good breakfast. Staff was efficient but not very friendly. Also loved 24 hour hot chocolate and hot coffee. Rooms were very clean."
"Nice, nostalgic motel. I felt like I was on a 1960s road trip. Of course, the motel is older, but that is part of the overall charm. The staff was very helpful and the property was clean, nice change once in a while."
"An enjoyable stay at the Beach Inn. The room was extremely clean with a comfortable bed & a good supply of towels, which was appreciated as there was no housekeeping. As others have said, the bathrooms are very much in need of updating, but again it was very clean. Breakfast was more than adequate to start the day and the coffee was hot and fresh. The view of Lake Superior & being able to sit near the lake was a treat."
"This was a locally owned property that Quality Inn bought and updated a bit. So there are some motel rooms and some hotel rooms on this property. The first night we were put in a motel room. I don’t typically stay in a motel room but I liked that our car could be parked right in front of our door. This room was a bit dated but it was clean, cool, and beds were comfy enough. We were only there for one night.
Then some plans had changed so we decided to go back and stay three more nights. This time we were put in a hotel room. I liked this one better. It felt newer, beds were more comfortable, it felt cleaner and safer, etc.
If you’re looking for something cheaper/reasonably priced that is comfortable, clean, and safe, this is it. The breakfast was decent and the staff were always nice and accommodating."
"A nice place to rest your head. The pool looked like fun for the kids. Nice lobby area with couches and chairs. Perfect distance from Munising town and hiking."
