“Only 5 units in this beautifully renovated palazzo. Great location. Very clean, good size rooms. First floor has a beautiful common area living room. Breakfast area on the second floor serves a good spread every morning. The palazzo was better than " four star" hotels we have stayed in during our trip around Italy this year. Staff on site only part of the day but no issues with access. Barbara sends all required info by email well in advance. We loved Bergamo and our stay in Porta Picta!”

“Sjovt og spændende indretning samt meget imødekommende vært :-) Fik gratis parkering lige uden for hotellet. ”

“Kjempe flott beliggenhet i nærheten av togstasjon. Stort, rent og pen standard. Veldig hyggelig personal. Anbefales”

“Absolutely fantastic apartment in a Beautiful location, the rooms were cleaned daily to a very high standard, the staff were extremely helpful and always smiling! A great selection at breakfast especially the freshly made scrambled eggs. We popped down to the restaurant on a couple of evenings and the food was lovely. Nothing at all negative to say!”

“Lovely, well kept property with tea and coffee and water in the fridge. Nice little balcony overlooking the piazza repubblica. Comfortable beds and toiletries in bathroom. The air conditioning was great and everything was well explained in the property. All communication before arrival was clear. Location is great. Bus stop with bus to airport/train station is on the other side of the piazza and the funicular up to the old town is a 10 minute walk (and well worth it). Lots of restaurants etc……

“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Donizetti residence. Good communication with Marcella who was there to welcome us when we arrived. The room was large, bathroom very modern, great shower! It’s very central in Bergamo with easy access to the trains, buses and funicular. We enjoyed having the table and chairs on the patio which was very peaceful, despite the proximity to the town. Marcella checked on us during the week to make sure all was ok. If we return to Bergamo, which I hope we do, we……

“Stunning views, fantastic location, super friendly staff made my two boys felt at home, dinner at the hotel was the best in Bergamo, outdoor breakfast was amazing, rooms were big and clean, aircon super cold even during heat wave, great location for hiking and biking, not too many rooms means not super busy which is perfect. It is right next to the tram going up so you will hear a little rumbling. Highly recommend this place. One tip if you are going, don’t follow google map to its location……

“Beautifylly maintained property in the heart of Bergamo old town. Comfortable room with all the needed amenities. Delicious breakfast and coffee. We were fortunate to chat for a bit with the host who took the time to share the history of the building and key points in the area as well. Would definitely stay here again and recommend!”

“Spacious flat with kitchen, close to train/ bus station and supermarket. ”
