Will cancelled on us an hour before our check in

Will cancelled on us an hour before the check in time - no phone call - no text - sent an email that wasn’t seen until 9:30 pm after my son’s basketball game. We were stranded with No place to stay - not a room in the city. Had to drive to Tuscaloosa at 10:30pm to check into an overpriced dump of a hotel - Not cool - I get that accidents happen ( housekeeping reported a leak) - at 3pm before a 4 pm check in? If that’s the case - pick up the phone and CALL your guest. Don’t assume that an email is sufficient - it’s not - and still waiting on my refund.
