"We had to suddenly get a room as we were camping and bad weather set in. The staff were so kind and accommodating. Check in time was 3:00, but because our room was ready they allowed us to check in at 9:00am!!! The room overlooked a fabulous rocky beach where we sat on our balcony and watched the seals on the rocks below. Our room was actually an apartment with a king size bed. They did not skimp on any thing… plentiful towels, coffee, creamer, soaps, lotions… To be honest, the outside of the complex was a little too rustic and a little unkempt, but the rest makes up for it tenfold. Bravo!"

"Shelter Cove is beautiful and this home is a wonderful way to experience it all. The home is bright and sunny and the great room and kitchen are fantastic. "We really enjoyed our stay here! Super clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The area is super remote and super quiet. It’s a great get away. There is very little cell service along most of the northern coastline, but they had great WiFi at the house. Loved how everything was labeled in the home, soap, shampoo and conditioner was stocked. Linens were clean. They had fun games, a gaming console and old VHSs and DVDs. We saw a ton of wildlife around the outside of the house including a black bear one night! Just a great little spot to retreat to. Just be aware that it is a 45 minute drive in from the main road. There is not much around so pack in what you need. Black Sands Beach is not a beach to be in the water in because of the riptides. So just be aware of that too. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get just away. "
