“Fantastic central location! Wonderful view from the balcony of our ‘family room’. No on-site reception, but prompt and friendly responses to all requests through WhatsApp. They do clearly state their limited reception hours but I got responses to concerns right away. Had a little trouble finding our room the first time but well worth the challenge! ( Interior gate is right next to Feltrinelli’s bookstore.) The family room is upstairs from the other rooms, hence the wonderful view. Basic……

“I booked three nights and had to leave after the first night because the shower door had broken off, the toilet was broken, and there was mold all over the shower. I returned the keys to the property manager (who seemed nice and understanding), but when I reached out regarding the issues and asked for a refund, they never responded. Hopefully they've solved the problems but beware if there are any issues they won't respond or help on them. Still haven't gotten my refund and have had to escalate……

“ The location is okay. 25 minutes walk to the sights. A supermarket and coffee shops nearby. The kitchen is well equipped. -It’s a 3 room B&B with thin walls. So you will hear the other occupants. - The check-in process in confusing. You have no interaction with anybody (I experienced this in Zagreb and had similar issues). They tell you to phone somebody (not WhatsApp) when you’re at the gate. No one responds, so you have to contact them by WhatsApp. No one responds. -Heating doesn’t work……

“This lovely little area of Castelvetro was a pleasure to stay in! The Locanda rooms were spacious and had nice amenities for coffee and tea. The living area was a nice addition to our space with lively decor. The toilet area is small but well appointed. If you want a romantic dinner reserve a table in the wine cellar. The hosts were fantastic! We should have stayed longer. One note: This is a castle village, the street is narrow but drivable. If you arrive by car, there is a large grove of……
