Read this before booking: this property isn’t for everyone. It’s an antique house which you may find interesting or you may dislike. The floor outside our bedroom wasn’t solid although I didn’t look under the rug covering it. Our bedroom was small. If you have mobility issues, request a room downstairs. Even young couple had trouble getting their luggage up the steep stairs. Look at the pictures of the outside of the house before trying to find it. There’s a sign for it by the main highway but no signs by the driveway or on the house itself. The house is unlocked and you walk in to find a note for you. It was unnerving for us just to walk in a house where we weren’t sure we were in the right location. On the positive side, there’s a common kitchen and sitting room. The owner leaves food and you are welcome to make your own breakfast. Make sure to mark your food with your room name. We didn’t understand and our dessert became common food. Obviously from reviews, we are in the minority, but it wasn’t for us.

Lovely old house full of character. Feels like you are way out in the country, but close to Borgarnes. Nice touches, like Lopi sweaters to wear if you are cold. Definitely recommend.

Adorable guest house; we had a lower room with full bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked & clean; the living room was cozy. There are no shoes in the house, & they had slippers to borrow, as well as warm Icelandic sweaters to borrow.

Excellent place. Calm and quiet. The place looks beautiful. The breakfast is excellent. The owner fills up the fridge and you make what you want. My best stay in Iceland. Would have loved to be there longer.

Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet. Unser Zimmer mit Bad war geräumig, die Betten sehr bequem und die Dusche ausgezeichnet. Die Gemeinschaftsküche ist hervorragend ausgestattet und man kann sich außerdem an den vorhandenen Lebensmitteln bedienen. Die Lage ist perfekt, nicht weit von der Straße entfernt aber dennoch ruhig gelegen inmitten der Natur. Wir haben hier eine Nacht verbracht und würden jederzeit wieder hier buchen.

Todella hienosti kunnostettu vanha puutalo. Todella helppo toimia, avain ja hyvät ohjeet odottivat talolla, kun tulimme. Aamiaistarpeita on runsaasti, aamiainen tehdään itse. Vanhassa talossa äänet kuuluu muista huoneista helposti muualle, mutta keittiössä oli saatavilla korvatulppia. Todella iso suositus tälle guesthouselle, jos osaa arvostaa historiallisia vanhoja taloja ja tyylikästä ajan patinaa.

Une belle maison vintage
Belle maison vintage au sol en bois qui craque. Nous avons eu une belle chambre au rez-de-chaussée avec une salle de bain privative. Tout était propre. Quant au petit déjeuner, il s’agit d’un buffet avec céréales et pain en libre service. Vous trouverez également des choses en plus dans le frigo.

Alojamiento estupendo
Casa de finales del siglo XIX rehabilitada y con todos los detalles. En una zona muy tranquila. La cocina es compartida y el desayuno está incluido: todo está pensado para que te sientas cómodo (ropa de abrigo: zapatillas de estar por casa y jersey de cortesía). Un alojamiento perfecto y diferente.

Wir haben uns in diesem wunderschönen Guesthouse sehr wohl gefühlt. Es strahlt eine Gemütlichkeit und Wärme aus. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich nur wünschen kann. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und wir haben trotz Sturm und Regen, der recht laut zu hören war, hervorragend geschlafen. Der telefonische Kontakt mit Anna, der Gastgeberin, war sehr herzlich und entgegenkommend. Vielen herzlichen Dank.
