“We had a wonderful stay. We arrived late but the staff were very accommodating and helpful with getting us checked in after hours. We stayed in the new cottage and the room was large and very fresh.”

“Very simple hotel in center of town with nice staff Was good for our needs”

“Beautiful grounds and environment, very idillic and scenic. We were able to catch a stunning sunset on the first night. However, the sunrise was blocked by a hill. The breakfast was decent with a good selection. The staff was friendly. We came in late March, so the grapevines were just stubs. Also, their Michelin restaurant was closed so we had to drive out to get dinner. Also none of the wine tours had started yet, and there were no free wine in the rooms (although you can purchase bottles)”

“Check in staff/front office/spa reception staff/housekeeping/ breakfast and especially golf staff all very good. Sometimes breakfast coffee service was a bit slow and cappuccino not very warm. Also very surprised that 2 poached eggs cost €10 per person. Bell boy also very good”

“Great location up on a hill side street. It’s a little bit of a walk to get to if you’re coming from the bus stop but for me it was well worth it. I would stay here again. It was no more and no less than I needed. The beautiful sunny Terrace was a nice surprise. The decor had a clean, classic beachy nautical feel.”

“Do not stay here. The host was rude and dishonest. We booked and paid for a superior room but were put in a standard room. The host would not move us as he said he was booked out (he had given our room to someone else). Would not refund us the difference. Told us all the rooms were the same price and that Expedia had charged us more for the room and not him, which was not the case.”
