Wonderful

We loved our stay. A nice quiet location but still close to amenities. Check in was a breeze. We loved seeing the deer in the early morning and later in the evening.

Great get-away!

Great place to relax! Cabin and farm were beautiful. Joanne and Terry were super friendly and there for anything we needed. This is a great place to go to get away from everything.

Perfect for our stay!

We were in town for a wedding close by and this place was perfect! The property was beautiful and the cabin was super clean and cozy. We had other friends rent the other cabins and we had a great time sitting by the fire at night. Plenty of room for a pack n play for our daughter.

A nice place to lay your head

Had some work to do in the area and needed a place to stay. Birddog Farm offered a nice cabin that was pet friendly. The bed was soft and the shower was hot, everything that I could ask for after a long workday.

Gorgeous, wonderful, lovely place

We would stay here permanently if we could! We had such a great time, and JoAnne (owner) could have been nicer. She literally thought of everything, down to the most minute detail.

Getaway and relaxation in comfort

We enjoyed our stay at Birddog Farm. The cabin was exceptionally clean, the bed comfortable and the shower has great water pressure. If you want to get away from the rush and noise, this is the place to go. We explored places within 1 hr to 1 1/2 hrs away from the farm. Some places we visited were Defeated Creek, Falcon Rest Mansion, the Lost River Cave, and Wynnwood State Historic site.

Perfect weekend getaway

Couldn't have asked for better hosts and accomodations! Communication was excellent. Everything you could need was provided and then some. Decor and queen bed were unexpectedly upscale. Fresh pastries to greet us when we arrived. On site fishing for hubby. Will definitely return!

Calming experience

I travel a lot for work and have never found a more calm and welcoming environment. I like it so much here that I renewed my contract for four more weeks knowing I would not find such a great place to stay next time. Jessie is amazing!!

If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful place to get away from it all, BirdDog Farm is the BEST EVER!! The Kemp family make sure your stay is everything you want it be. Peaceful and friendly

I’ve been here several weeks as a travel nurse working a local contract. The kemp’s have been incredibly friendly and helpful during my stay. My cabin is clean and you cannot beat the natural beauty just outside your door. My contract may end soon and I’m really going to miss this place when I move on to my next contract.

BirdDog Farm

BirdDog Farm is in the country. My grandchildren loved fishing in the pond! They caught 4 nice size bass. The cabins were very nice and comfortable. Our hostess could not have been nicer and helpful. She help us with directions and making sure we had everything we needed. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us.

I don’t always write a review but when I do…….

I stay in local places such as this quite often. When I leave I get a request to submit a review and rarely actually write one. This host and property may be one of the best I have had the pleasure of staying in. When JoAnne opened the door to this remote cabin I was blown away by what I saw. The furnishings, the cookies and drinks that were stocked in the cabin and just overall attention to detail was amazing. Aside from the property itself the host and hospitality was at a level you just don’t get very often. I actually hope I need to travel back here for work in the future so I have the chance to stay here again.

Peaceful during a stressful nursing contract

I have been here for a few weeks and I feel younger without all the stress of a city. Birds singing and all the sounds of nature right outside your door. Cabins are clean and comfortable with excellent air conditioning and the best showers (water pressure and hot). The kemp family has treated me like family from the first night I came and have been consistent in their hospitality. Jessie has been the kindest guide to the way of life in Tennessee. She has been so helpful it’s hard to believe she is only 25. Gabby the dog is still my favorite but Jessie is a close second. I would highly recommend staying here for a little escape from the world.

Travel nurse

I have been here for several trips over the last few months. Now that my contract is ending and I will be moving on shortly, I have been reflecting on all of the great people I have met and the family and friends I have made. The Kemp family is friendly and inviting making you feel like part of the family. The cabins are clean and very well furnished with comfortable beds. The surroundings are peaceful and a great place to relax and enjoy some family time or alone time. No traffic noise or hustle out here. Take a nap in the afternoons and enjoy a drink in the evenings. I will miss being here but, I look forward to coming back for some rest and relaxation when it’s needed. Oh I almost forgot they have a dog named gabby who will make all your stress fade away she is an excellent fetch partner and loves treats and belly rubs. Truly an amazing experience!!!

Weekend retreat

I would have liked to stay longer to explore more of the area. The cabins are in a tranquil location allowing one to unplug and unwind. I was attending a family reunion and when I heard we were staying in cabins I was expecting a little rustic stay. To my surprise I felt like I was in a 4-star hotel. They provided mini cupcakes to welcome us. Each morning I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee with the breakfast bread they provided. I appreciated each cup and plate in the cupboard was individually wrapped. I got the best night sleep I had in a long time, as the bed was very comfortable. I liked sitting outside at night looking at all the stars. The sky was so clear since there was no light pollution around.

fantastic hosts

Very secluded location. Cabin was small but had everything you would need. Internet and smart TV fantastic for grandchildren. GPS was sketchy but Terry met us at local market and took us to cabin. Joanne and Terry are amazing hosts. Was like visiting family you haven't seen in awhile. Thank you for the attention you gave the boys. They want to come back and feed the fish again. Great place to stay !!

Wonderful place to stay!

Bird Dog Farm was a delight place to stay. We live in Southern California with all the traffic and houses upon houses. This was a total nature experience. When coming to see our son’s family we will stay here. The owners Joanne and Terry were the best. They made you feel like family.

An Oasis of Tranquility & Safeness

Perfect couple retreat

We needed a getaway, and this place was so perfect. Set in a beautiful area, it was clean and comfy and had the best bed and shower. We enjoyed Defeated Creek Reservior one day and Nashville the next. We will be back.

Came Back Again!

We loved staying here last year that we came back again this year. Great place to stay if you want seclusion and to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. JoAnne and Terry are great hosts and go above and beyond to make sure that you are welcome and have everything that you need. Everything was exactly as it was described in the rental listing. Terry or JoAnne will meet you to get you back to the exact place that the cabins are and then there are plenty of activities within a 30 mins drive (or Nashville is just about an hour away). We found a local farm and went blueberry/strawberry/blackberry picking one day and then spent a couple days down at the marina beach. Overall, excellent place to stay, great service/quick responses from JoAnne/Terry, and everything was as described.
