COVID-19 has changed the way we travel, but it hasn't stopped our appetite for exploring. Here are some tips on how to navigate the new challenges of traveling:

• Investigate what, if any, rules or restrictions apply to both your origin and destination. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so check government advisories before booking.
• Requirements state you must wear a face mask at the airport, including at security checkpoints. You should be prepared to adjust your mask to verify your identity when asked by a TSA officer.
• Instead of handing a TSA officer your boarding pass, place it straight on the scanner yourself. Then, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA is now permitting passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will need to be removed from your bag and submitted for screening.
• Remove items from your pockets, like your wallet, phone and small change, and place them in your carry-on instead of into bins. This will reduce handling during the screening process.
• Transport all food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Separating food from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA employee will need to open and touch your bag for inspection.

As lockdowns and restrictions start to lift, many airlines are back in the skies with new measures including social distancing and an increased supply of sanitizer and face masks. Here's what a few carriers are doing to help lessen the spread of COVID-19:
