"This was a short break for My wife and daughter as a treat. The staff were not engaged at all and the service at breakfast each day was very poor. They had to ask for bowls for cereal and the pastries had run out mid way through service and had to get more prepared. Staff were not visible and tables left for long periods of time before eventually being cleared. They seemed very uninterested in making the stay a pleasure for the guests. The one main dinner they had was adequate but not good. The swimming pool changing rooms were not clean with toilets out of order and the smell of drains, towels very thin. No shampoo in the rooms and curtains that didn't drawer easily. Towel rail was stained and looked old. The general condition of the room and hotel in general was poor. I booked a deluxe room but it didn't look very deluxe. It seemed like they were constantly penny pinching and suggested the resort is under serious financial pressure. The mud treatment they booked was not worth it as the mud product was too dry and didn't spread across the skin. Most ended up on the floor as it dropped off. All in all it was not the treat I hoped to give my wife and daughter and I am disappointed to have used my one key cash on it."

"Toad Hall is a very old Lady and has its quirky bits like any property that has stood for so long, however this is truly part of its charm. We managed to arrive just as the house keeper was leaving so we were given a tour of the place, which was a kind and unexpected bonus! As a result we did not have to touch a thing, as everything from the heating to the freezer had been switched on. The heating was perfectly adequate for all the family and we didn’t need the main fire despite the weather outside. All the white goods seemed to have been newly installed and the bedding and beds were perfectly comfortable. There are one or two tired areas particularly the kitchen cabinets which have been in the property a long time by the look of them, as have the sofas. We didn’t get the best of the weather whilst staying and as such the garden was very boggy and in places there was a lot of standing water in the garden and down the lanes leading to the property, which was more problematic when walking the dog. One thing that we did find a little odd, was that the owners don’t provide towels, which we have never had to do in any other holiday accommodation that we have been to, over a number of years. This said my wife and I along with our children and grandchildren had a lovely time. We played table tennis and various board games as well as going to the nearest beaches about 30 minutes drive away. In summary, if you are looking for a clean lines all singing all dancing up to the minute property to spend time in, you will have picked the wrong place. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat, that has charm and character, oozing from every beam and sloping floor, you might have picked yourself the exact property."

"We had a wonderful week staying at the Milking Parlour in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. The location was perfect, offering easy access to Ipswich and charming surrounding villages. The hosts were incredibly hospitable and friendly, making us feel right at home. The accommodation itself was cosy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We couldn't have asked for a better getaway. Highly recommended for anyone looking to escape to the countryside!"

"The cottage was extremely clean and there were so many amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable, there was a giant closet for a longer stay, and a mini fridge for any food you need. There was a cute tea and hot chocolate bar that we took full advantage of. It also uses infared heating, which is so modern! This cottage is attached to the owners' house, but they managed to keep our space private and quiet. The owners were so polite and sweet, and it was lovely talking to them. Lastly, the garden was just beautiful. It would have been more so if we went in the summer (we came in december, haha), but it was still such a beautiful and perfect experience for the two of us. "Wasn’t what i expected however, incredibly comfortable and staff where so helpful "

"was unable to sleep in the bed as the room had a major issue with black mould in the bathroom which had become airborne & affected the the entire room the smell was over powering slept in a chair as the bed was cover with the black mould smell & was unable to breath, suffer with chest infections which the spores got on my chest I had to call 111 & was directed to Ipswich hospital for antibiotics, never even stopped for breakfast on day 2 felt to ill on antibiotics for next 5 days, this all happened when the heating was switched on which activated the spores into the air."
