I'm not quite sure why this property has so many 5 stars. It's an OK place, but definitely not 5 star worthy. We came with a family of 11 because the listing says it sleeps 12. This is misleading (see below). I'd say that it should be listed as a property that sleeps 10. My review will focus on the property itself, and not how much we enjoyed ourselves because really we'd have a good time together anywhere we are.
The Good - The location is ideal. It's right on the water and has a wading area for kids to play in. It also has two fridges, which came in handy. We spent a lot of time swimming and fishing from the floating dock. The fire pit is also nice.
The Bad - It was not as clean as a 5 star property should be. It wasn't super dirty, but there were definitely spots that hadn't been cleaned in a while. It is dated and could use some updates in places. There were only 2 trash bags provided for a 3 night stay with up to 12 people. There is no WiFi. In the work-from-home and virtual school era of today, this was a struggle. The grill did not work as there was something wrong with the propane connection. We didn't report it at the time because we discovered it at dinner the night before we were going to be checking out the next morning.
The Awkward - It should not say it sleeps 12. I'd say 10 max. There are 4 beds that sleep 2 people each and one pullout couch that could sleep 1 adult or maybe 2 small kids. There were two blow up mattresses, but only one could be inflated and it could only sleep one normal size person. Even if the second one could be inflated, there was no where to put it.
The two extra bedrooms and the 2nd bathroom are VERY small. Both showers are EXTREMELY TINY. I've taken showers in European bathrooms that had showers larger than these.
Again, 3 star property max. You can still have fun here, but not a 5 star property.
