“There was a mix up at check in, where somebody else had been previously checked into our room ~ hence when we came to check in, no booking was in the system… the receptionists managed to get to the bottom of it, & resolve the issue as well as offering us a drinks voucher for the inconvenience. “I really like the people that run it ...you can have a laugh and a joke and their professional. I love the quirky old fashioned styling but it's done in a modern way. The menu seemed basic but the quality of the food was fantastic everybody should try the prawns starter !!! Two dislikes Coffee machine in room too small difficult to use. The noise of extractor fans outside the windows was a constant drone but okay if you're used to noise and not from the quiet countryside. I'm definitely going……

My only minor criticism is being 6’3 the light they’d fitted to the single room was basically at face height so I cracked my head a couple of times getting in and out of bed.
