「This has to be one of the worst condition hotel rooms. I’ve stayed in in years and I’ve been staying in hotel rooms for most of my life because that was part of my job. The carpeting in the room would make my feet dirty. I would have to clean my feet off before I would get into bed. The bed was clean. The bathroom was clean. The shower did not work right all in all. It was a terrible experience.」

「Hopeless staff. WiFi Internet went off late night and did not come back on despite talking to staff. Continental breakfast non-existent. Speaking to others staying there, their comments mirrored mine, most going to another motel across the road.」

「My number one complaint would definitely be the large cockroaches that infested this home. Other than that, parking is good during the day but bad at night due the restaurants and bars nearby. The bars were also very loud at night so be prepared for that. The kitchen and finer details of the home could use work. Hard to find bath towels, half the light bulbs didn’t work, a nail sticking out of the floor in the living room, just little inconveniences that we dealt with. The host was kind and...

「The Tiskilwa Inn is nicely restored mansion originally built in 1848. It has 5 guest rooms, all recently refurbished in the finest style. Our first night we were the only guests so it felt like our own private stately home. I want to go back so I can stay in each of the other four rooms.」

The house felt very home-y and the kids loved all the books, toys, and the rock painting. The neighborhood was quiet, and everything was just a short drive away. Would definitely stay here again.」
