“Staying at this hotel in the winter (off season) was not ideal. Too much snow, parking challenging, and hotel office closed. Room was fine, but no view of the lake. My room key didn’t work on my last day, so staff had to re-issue a new key. For winter, I recommend staying 7 miles north in town..Grand Marie…where there are more guests, better overall parking, access to businesses and customer service.”

“Restaurant and bar onsite were closed. Took forever to get hot water in the shower. Desk in room was dirty. Location was close to ski hill. Hallway carpet is really starting to show wear. ”

“1) Breakfast had too many flour-based items for my personal taste. 2) Great location. 3) Clean, quiet rooms. 4) Wonderful Staff, very helpful, kind people. 5) Great view of Lake Superior "located beyond the ice near the shore" from the main floor location. ”
