"We made it a girls weekend. We had 3 adults stay, but 4 to 5 could stay comfortably. We liked the history behind it and are into a little ghostly possible haunting adventure. The back deck was our favorite hangout. Its centrally located between St. Gen and Festus. Its a beautiful rurral area, but you aren't more thab 30 minutes from restaurants, etc. The owner was very nice and quick to respond and even left us snacks and homemade wine. We enjoyed the riesling!"

"Overall, this was a great place to stay. The kitchen and living room were well maintained with plenty of seating. The two bedrooms were nicely furnished with comfortable beds. Bathrooms were clean. Pond was peaceful and nice for fishing. Driveway could use some gravel in spots, but otherwise no issue. Short distance to food, fuel, and shopping if needed."

"Don't get me wrong, the couple was very nice. Let us check out their animals, go to the spring on their property, gave us a dozen eggs... However, I was under the impression there were beds, not air mattresses in the tent, air mattresses do not hold heat and are a poor choice when it gets cold becausethey also deflate with cold weather. The blankets provided were unacceptably thin. If I had not brought blankets from home we would have frozen to death. I finally gave up and everyone slept in the...

"We traveled here for a week long stay. We had 6 adults and one child. The property was just as listed and everyone enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We made most our meals and the kitchen was stocked appropriately. Linda was an excellent host and responded very quickly to our questions/concerns."
