A large house on a quiet urbanisation about a 20 minute walk from Calpe town. Great views across a shallow valley to Oltamar mountain.Good white bed linen and decent towels. An adequate supply of crockery, cutlery, glasses, cooking utensils. Most of the preparation knives are blunt. No tea towels but some were delivered when we asked, although they are not routinely supplied. No ice cube trays (apparently a hygiene issue) or oven gloves - advised to use the tea towels! Kettle and coffee maker were replaced quickly after they failed, very cheap basic machines.One hairdryer only blew cold air and though reported was not replaced, luckily there were 2 and the other was ok with only 2 people needing to use it.No instructions for central heating boiler but we managed to work it out. It was quite wet and chilly for the first 5 days so we needed the heating. The kitchen runs with condensation when the heating is on so we had to open the window and keep the kitchen door to the living area closed. It is obviously a longstanding problem as the cupboard doors are splitting from being wet.No cushion pads for outside plastic chairs. Outside furniture was stacked on the living room terrace so didn’t look prepared for renters. Pool terrace flower pots only had weeds in them. Close to the street refuse and recycling bins so some noise from people using the bins, fly-tipping alongside them and the bin lorries that came to empty them.We would not rent this house again.
