wonderful late summer break

We loved our time on Davaar, and the property was perfect for our needs: really comfortable beds, plenty of good quality cookware etc. We were well looked after by the caretakers, who were friendly and helpful when needed but otherwise discreet, and the weather was (surprisingly!) beautiful. A lovely break - thanks

Awesome

Absolutely loved our stay. The cottage was all we expected. We enjoyed walking around the Island, relaxing by the fire and sitting on the bench on the cliffs in the moonlight with a nice glass of wine. Ned and Toni our hosts have certainly ticked all the boxes xx

Everything was as you would want. The cottage was clean and all requirements were comfortably met, and in a truly stunning and different location. Ned was a total diamond and couldn’t have been more helpful and approachable.

Beautiful peaceful island

The island felt so special and detached from the world. The lighthouse keepers house was lovely and welcoming, with modern touches whilst still retaining its charm. We felt privileged to see all the animals completely unconcerned at our presence. Toni and Ned were great hosts, being there if we needed them without intruding.

Excellent all round

Despite the remoteness of the property, it is decorated and furnished in a contemporary, modern style. Ned and Toni have thought of everything and couldn't have been more helpful. The kitchen is well equipped, there are two living rooms affording personal space as well as contrasting views, similarly two bedrooms and, conveniently two shower rooms. Of particular delight were the wood burning stove and views from the house of the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig. The house is secure, warm and comfortable.

Amazing views and unique location

This is such a special location on an island looking out to see with incredible views. Such a peaceful place to escape to, away from everything. Really stunning area and gorgeous cottage with everything you might need. Owner was lovely and property was clean. Would highly recommend as the perfect escape.
