"The place was even better in person than the photos showed online. We were greeted by Ronaldo and the caretaker who were lovely. The place was clean, private and had everything we needed to cook meals and enjoy the beach including boogie boards, beach chairs and a nice outdoor shower. We saw so many cool animals from Macaws in the morning and Iguanas during the day. The monkeys in the afternoons were entertaining, but they will steal your stuff so watch out. "Très bel endroit proche de la mer. La maison est très bien. Seul bémol, il y a des animaux dans les murs de la chambre qui font du bruit la nuit. Pour les dormeurs sensibles, il faut des bouchons dans les oreilles pour ne pas entendre les bruits. On ne sait pas quels sont les animaux dans le mur (lézard, chauffe-souris ???) on comprend qu'au Costa Rica, il y a des animaux et que ce n'est pas simple d'empêcher ceux-ci de faire leur nid ! Mais ce serait super d'empêcher ceux-ci de loger avec nous!...

Casa Chicua... a place to rest.

"This was a fabulous place very close to the volcanos. It sits up on a hill and the view is amazing! It sits above the clouds so drinking coffee and taking in the views, we didn't want to leave. It is close to many attractions and it is such a quaint little place. It had everything you needed and comfortable beds. The best part were the owners who answered all our questions in a timely manner. He waited for us when we were late. They were lovely people. This is a wonderful place to stay!"

"Amazing stay at parador! Only problem was the road getting there was steep and broken. We drove so it made it so we didn’t feel motivated to leave the property. We usually love to venture out and explore but we stayed at the property unless we were doing an excursion. Food was overpriced at the restaurant. Staff was outstanding and go above and beyond every time. Room was lovely and comfy and grounds were amazing and teeming with wildlife. Very special place and road should be fixed soon. Will def go back!"
