Second stay at Treacle cottage.

Second stay at Treacle cottage.We will 100% be staying again.Everything clean and cosy, with a lovely welcome from the owner.Farm noises are minimum (we've stayed on a fair few). If you're lucky, you might see the wooping sparrowhawk who occasionally takes her chances.We've come home much relaxed.The one thing in the area that we both would absolutely recommend (and probably force) you to do, is fish and chips from Arnside chippy. We've been coming to the area for many years and are both fussy about eating out, especially as one of us is a Coeliac and ex chef 30+ years. Arnside chippy do gluten free batter which is just lovely! (GF is always extra crispy wherever, we both have that). You'll enjoy 😉.

Perfect accommodation and location

We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay at Treacle Cottage. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners. The accommodation is spacious and beautifully furnished. The location is perfect for exploring The Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The coast is nearby too and there are plenty of good pubs within a short drive. We stayed with our 2 children who also loved the cottage and watching the cows come in for their daily milking. We experienced no noise from the dairy farm that the cottage is on. I highly recommend this property.
