Fantastic Scottish Accommodation

Our family, from Canada, 23 of us including a 1 year old stayed at Carlogie House in June. All declared it a wonderful location, with perfect accommodation. Every room has its own bathroom, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We purchased food locally and on most days families took turns cooking. As well we hired Kirrie Dumplings to cater on two occasions. The wonderful open space allowed lots of social occasions and the games room was perfect for late night pool and fun.

Best vacation ever

We had a total of 16 people in our family stay here for 8 nights. This house was truly spectacular. The host was great. She was very responsive and accommodating. The size was perfect for our large family. We each had our own bedrooms. The house had everything you could think of. When we were leaving my grandson asked if we could stay for an extra week. When we find ourselves back in Scotland we will definitely book this house again.

Family Celebration

The venue is superb and everyone from the children to adults and older members loved it. Plenty of space to relax and to party and very well equipped. The host Susan could not have been more helpful. We’ll be back.

We had the best time! Susan is such a fantastic host. We had our wedding there and it was perfect from start to finish. She was very accommodating and helpful. Amazing Family Reunion

Twenty five family members ranging from 2-76 years of age for the United States and England gathered in this beautiful home for two weeks. This spacious home and all the amenities provided exceeded our expectations - from the kitchen, bedrooms, dining and and entertainment areas(both inside and out).There were ample areas for family members to gather in large and small groups. This is a most exceptional venue. Thank you, Susan, for making this amazing holiday location for our family to enjoy.

Wedding Getaway

We booked Carlogie House for 3 nights and had our wedding on the second day in the beautiful garden.The house was perfect for us - great kitchen facilities (plenty storage, tableware, fridges, etc) great accommodation, with all the bedrooms having ensuites and plenty areas for us and our wedding guests (close family and friends) to relax. The games room was a nice touch and much enjoyed by the kids, as was the climbing frame. The hot tubs and barbecue were used plenty too! We had our wedding breakfast in the orangerie, which was beautiful. Also, having a full size bar was perfect!Check-in was simple (after 4pm), and checkout was at 10am. Our host Susan was fantastic and was also able to provide some additional wedding-related extras, like a cake stand/knife, chiavari chairs with sashes, etc. This was provided at an extra cost, but we found it to be very reasonable.

An exciting place to come home to after a long day.

Perfect for a family gathering of 20 people. It’s about a 15-20 min walk to/from the train station and grocery store (we did it a couple times), but I’d recommend a cab or a rental car to get around. The best part of the trip was the excitement of returning to the house after a long day of adventures, and hearing the constant laughter of the children running up and down the halls while playing hide and seek in their very own castle. So much to do both inside and outside the house. Looking forward to visiting again.

Three-generation family reunion from six US states..

We had been planning a family reunion in Scotland for several years and finally found a beautiful location that would house all 24 of us comfortably. Everything about this house was wonderful. A lovely walk to the train, pubs, downtown Carnoustie, a beautiful beach, and marvelous playground complete with zipline for the children. The hostess, Susan, was accomodating in every regard and aided us in our preparations prior to our visit. The beautiful grounds provided a perfect venue for a falconry demonstration that was one of the many highlights of our visit. Carlogie House was a home away from home for our family of all ages and an experience we will always remember! Thank you so much, Susan!

Scotland Visit

We were a group of 22 friends and family. We stayed at Carlogie House from August 1 to August 10 and could not have been happier. When we arrived by bus from Glasgow airport Susan was at the house to meet us. She gave us a tour of the house so we would be familiar with everything. The location of this house is perfect. It is a little under a mile and a half from the center of town which is a short distance to the beach, train station and Carnoustie Golf Links. Our group definitely enjoyed walking to town on our free day. We hired Braw Tours and had 5 days touring the area including Edinburgh, St Andrews, many castles and even Kingsbarn whiskey distillery. One of the highlights for us was our catering crew, Kirries Dumpling, Janet, Debbie and the girls were fantastic providing breakfast and lunch everyday. We highly recommend them, very reasonable rates and excellent food. The house was fantastic, we were able to assign room ahead of arrive as each room has it’s own name. Everything provided was utilized. The game room with pool table, hot tubs everyday, the bar in use every night, washer and dryer were a big help. The dining room is spectacular. Susan was available to help with any problems. Our visit was super and we would definitely return! Thanks Susan for providing us with a wonderful vacation!

Family golf trip!

Communication with Susan was great from the start. Carlogie House well positioned between golf courses, with a quick drive, or nice walk to Carnoustie. Definitely recommend!

Amazing property

Staying here was like a fairytale dream come true. Beautifully presented and Susan made us feel so welcome. We enjoyed an early family get together for Christmas.We had family travel from America to join us and it was perfect.

Lovely stay in Carnoustie

The Carlogie House was a great place for a gathering of family and friends for a holiday. There is plenty of common space to gather, and space for privacy if desired. The rooms were beautiful. Susan was a wonderful hostess. It is an easy 15-20 min walk to town and the townspeople were very friendly. Perfect holiday!

We had a wonderful family holiday at this stunning and special property set in a beautiful part of Scotland. Susan was a lovely host who couldn't have done more to make our stay wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and she even went and bought extra kitchen equipment that we needed.

Wedding vacation

My family and I stayed at this stunning property for a week. We arrived Monday and had our wedding on the Saturday. This property had EVERYTHING you could need for a small intimate wedding. Great facilities, wonderful location and the perfect hostess. I will forever grateful to Susan and Victoria (wedding planner) for everything they did to make my wedding day so special and the opportunity to spend some quality time with my family.

We could not rave more about this property. We traveled to Scotland for a friend's 40th birthday and had a wonderful time. Susan was very responsive and reached out prior to our arrival, was there at arrival to help us get situated and explain any details. The home was clean, well-stocked and just as pictured.
