Local amenities include: Galloway Forest Park affording 300 square miles of Walking, Cycling, Riding and Trekking; Galloway Activity Centre and Loch Ken Marina, both of which are on Loch Ken; several challenging Golf Courses, including New Galloway Golf Club.
